Businesses in Wairarapa have a brand new resource available. Grow Wellington, the region’s economic development agency, has appointed Aaron Mcleigh as Business Growth Manager.
Aaron is one of five new managers in the organisation’s Business Growth Team, each of whom has responsibility for business development in a specific part of the Wellington region.
“My role involves working alongside businesses within the Wairarapa region offering support and access to; TechNZ R & D funding, global expert searches, training vouchers, key contacts within Government agencies, advising on investment opportunities and export strategies and accessing a large database of external business support resources.” says Aaron Mcleigh, Grow Wellington Business Growth Manager.
Grow Wellington’s services are completely free and confidential. “Having run my own start up business DM Martinborough, I fully understand the issues that businesses face. This is a great service for businesses that want to innovate and grow,” says Aaron.
“Connecting businesses with the people, tools and knowledge they need to fulfill their potential is our main aim. We want to ensure we have a strong regional economy that supports innovative business,” says Nigel Kirkpatrick, CEO Grow Wellington.
