Winetasting and Cellar Door
As most of the wineries represented at Wairarapa Wine Cellar don’t have a cellar door, this gives customers the possibility to taste their wines and buy them at cellar door prices. Every Shareholder has a wine open for tasting, and one Shareholder will showcase his whole range as “Winery of the week”.
Information Centre and Wineshop
The other aspect is to build this up as an information centre. Showing visitors where New Zealand viticulture originated many years ago. Explaining also the differences between the subregions of the Wairarapa. Soil types, Temperatures, Rainfall, Ripeness levels. We are also selling a comprehensive range of wines from the whole Wairarapa region.
